RE-KAGED Protein Pancake Recipe

RE-KAGED Protein Pancake Recipe

While egg whites and oats are a safe and healthy breakfast option, let’s face facts. Eating the same thing first thing every morning can get redundant and might lead you to looking elsewhere for something more satisfying to the palate like pancakes. Pancakes are great but most people would avoid them because of how unhealthy they can be. Fortunately there are healthier ways to enjoy this classic breakfast option and thanks to RE-KAGED, you can make your own protein powered pancakes that will break the monotony of the eggs and oats while not feeling the guilt of eating something you shouldn’t. These won’t just be normal pancakes either. They’ll have flavor to them since you have the Strawberry Lemonade flavor of RE-KAGED to pack the taste as well as the nutrients. This recipe will help you make three average sized pancakes so you can enjoy them all at once or split them up over the course of multiple meals.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of oat flour (If you don’t have oat flour, grind up two cups of old fashioned oats in a food processor until it resembles corn meal).
  • 1 scoop of RE-KAGED (Strawberry Lemonade).
  • ½ teaspoon of baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 tablespoon stevia
  • 1 large egg
  • ½ cup Skim milk
  • ½ cup water

Directions

Mix all of your ingredients into a bowl. Place a griddle or non-stick pan on your stove at medium heat. Pour your batter onto the cooking surface. Cook for a few minutes until batter becomes solid so you can flip it. Flip and cook other side to same consistency for the same amount of time. Repeat with desired number of pancakes. The great thing about these is that you can eat them immediately or store in freezer. If frozen, separate with parchment paper and place in a freezer bag. When you’re ready to eat them, remove pancakes from bag, place into microwave, and heat until they’re warm. Add desired syrup or topping of choice. Note that the syrup will affect the nutrition info of the pancakes. If you’re looking to lose weight, you might want to pass on it. The pancakes should have enough flavor on their own for you to enjoy them.
