Why did you decide to do the 8-Week Hardcore Trainer? What was that ‘AHA’ moment?

I had yo-yo dieted for years without success. It was approaching the end of the year when Kaged Muscle announced the 8-Week Hardcore Trainer was going to be released, and I knew it was time for a change mentally and physically. I had tried Kris’ muscle builder series and had a nice change. But like most of my other attempts I didn’t give it my all. And then, the launch of HCT2 was set. I remember mentally saying, this is it. It had accountability by submitting photos and my mind was made up. I’m doing this, I’m winning this, and that was my promise. I put it out for all to know too. I wanted to be held accountable. And then it began. I didn’t miss a beat the entire time. Loved my results. I didn’t win, yet mentally I did. I gave it 100% and never cheated a meal, a cardio session, or a training set. I learned dedication, persistence, and how to embrace the pain. I loved every second of following the video day by day and sticking to it.

Why did you choose Kris’ 8-Week Hardcore Trainer over other programs?

Simply, I believed in Kris’ vision. It’s hard not to truly listen to him and not feel motivated and sold on his passion for bettering oneself. And I’m saying not just physically but mentally too.

What Kaged Muscle supplements did you take while doing this trainer?

During this series, I took PRE-KAGED, IN-KAGED, RE-KAGED, Glutamine, BCAA, and Creatine HCI.

Which Kaged Muscle supplements that you used in the program were your favorite and why?

All of these I listed, I still use them today. I also added the new Isolate. But using Kaged Kasein in my nighttime muffin has to be my favorite.

Can you provide us with a 1-day sample of the diet you personally followed?

Typically, my morning would be 2 whole eggs with added egg whites and salsa and some oats on the side. My next four meals would be 6 oz of chicken or lean beef with some green veggies. Two of those meals I’d add some jasmine rice or cream of wheat. My bedtime meal would either be a repeat of meal one or a Kaged Kasein muffin.

What is the best piece of advice Kris provided you with during the program?

“Fu** excuses.” I kept saying that the whole time.

What aspects of the trainer challenged you most?

Doing the a.m. and p.m. cardio. That was brutal.

What is your advice for others wanting to do this program?

Do it, follow it to a T. You will see results, you’ll learn things about yourself, and you’ll come out of this stronger in every aspect of life.

What are the top three gym music tracks you listened to most during the trainer?

It would be more band specific, some metal, some rap. It was always just whatever got me going for the day!

What tactics helped you overcome roadblocks in regards to family, social gatherings, diet, workout and career during this trainer?

Family time was and is still the most difficult. I’ve learned much better how to manage that though. So, I have three little ones. My gym time either comes before they wake up or once they are asleep. That became priority number one. The diet stayed easy through bulk meal prepping. It kept me on track and held me off of any possible cheats. Sometimes I’d use lunch breaks to get cardio or a workout done. I just found little time management tools to make it all work.

Have you done any other Kaged Muscle Trainers, either Kris Gethin’s or other athletes’? If so, which ones?

I haven’t used anyone else’s trainer series. But I’ve also done Kris’ Muscle-Building trainers. After completing several, I took his DTP principles and other training tips, used them, and for the last year and a half applied them daily. I’m now one week out from my first physique contest in West Virginia.
